Julian Draxler has agreed to join Paris Saint-Germain but Wolfsburg are holding out for a £33.6 million transfer fee, according to reports in France.

RMC Sport claim that the Germany international is in advanced talks with the French champions and is on the verge of signing a four-and-a-half-year contract with the club.

PSG remain locked in talks with Wolfsburg but the German side are demanding that a £33.6m fee is paid.

Last week, RMC Sport claimed that Arsenal were set to launch a £29.3m offer for the midfielder, with Mesut Ozil reportedly one of the driving forces behind the Gunners’ interest.

Draxler is expected to leave Wolfsburg in the January window and has been booed by his own supporters after expressing his desire to quit the club.

‘I don’t think I need to tell anybody what [being booed] does to a person – it certainly doesn’t help you,’ said the 23-year-old.

‘There’s no doubt it makes it hard for you to perform on the field.

‘I can understand the fans, though. They have every right to do that. I said in the summer the way I feel and I stand by that.’
