Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is planning on revamping his defence and will recall Andreas Christensen to Stamford Bridge next summer to replace the outgoing John Terry and Branislav Ivanovic.

The Italian spent around £120million during his first summer at the club and he’s guided the Blues to 11 straight league wins over the last three months.

David Luiz rejoined the club on a £30m deal from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer and has been a revelation in the heart of the Blues’ 3-4-3 system.

However, veterans Terry and Ivanovic are expected to leave the club when they’re out of contract next summer and Conte wants reinforcements.

Christensen, 20, has spent the last 18 months with Borussia Monchengladbach and helped the Bundesliga side qualify for the Champions League last season.

According to the Daily Mail, Conte’s been impressed with the defender’s progress and wants to reintegrate the Denmark international back into life at Stamford Bridge
