VICTOR ANICHEBE ANNOUNCES WEST BROM DEPARTURE

The Nigerian forward looks set to end his Baggies nightmare after three rocky years, with a move out of the Hawthorns widely expected
Victor Anichebe has announced his imminent departure from West Bromwich Albion via Twitter.
The 28-year-old has endured a rocky time plagued with injuries at the Hawthorns since his £5m move from Everton in the summer of 2013.
Anichebe did not start a Premier League match for West Brom until their 1-0 home win over Newcastle on December 28 and Baggies boss Tony Pulis named him in his starting line-up on just two more occasions.
The former Nigeria U23 forward took to social media to post a message that reads: “Thank you to all the West Bromwich Albion fans for the support during my time at the club! I wish you all the best for the future. God bless.”
The Baggies are planning to refit the club’s attacking options this summer, and hope to bring in at least two new strikers.
Anichebe’s departure could be followed by the sale of Saido Berahino, leaving just Salomon Rondon and Rickie Lambert up front.
He has scored nine goals in 63 appearances for Albion.

Thank you to all the @WBAFCofficial fans for the support during my time at the club! I wish you all the best for the future. God bless
