PortugalPaul Pogba has withdrawn from France 's
squad after suffering a sprained right ankle
following an MRI scan on Thursday.
The Juventus midfielder has returned to Turin for
treatment, meaning he will miss Didier
Deschamps's side's friendly clashes against
Armenia and Portugal.
Pogba had been expected to start against Armenia
on Thursday, but after Juventus doctors asked for
more information on the midfielder's condition on
Wednesday, it has now been confirmed that the
former Manchester United youngster will miss the
pair of fixtures.
Like the Old Lady, the France midfielder has
struggled so far this season, adapting to the
number 10 shirt at the club as Juventus sit 12th
with eight points from seven games.
And now the 22-year-old is a doubt for the Serie
A clash with Roberto Mancini's Inter on October
18, with Juventus hoping to get their season back
on track with a win.
