BET Zings Stacey Dash Following Controversial Comments: Can We Get Our Check Back for The Game?

Stacey Dash 's latest round of comments have made quite a few people angry—including one of her former employers. On Wednesday's Fox & Friends and Outnumbered , the 49-year-old Clueless star called the controversy surrounding 2016's all-white Oscar nominees "ludicrous," suggested we no longer celebrate Black History Month and said we "need to get rid of channels like BET...."

Understandably, BET wasn't happy. They were quick to remind Dash, too, that she was on The Game, a BET original show, from 2009 to 2011. The BET Twitter and Instagram accounts both shared a photo from the show, quipping, "Soooooo @realstaceyldash, can we get our check back... or nah? #Remember #YouWereOnTheGame #AndWeDontMeanTheRapper"

Zing! Dash has yet to publicly acknowledge BET's post on her history with the channel, but she is very much standing by her initial comments. In a Patheos blog post titled, "I Was Right Today on Outnumbered : There Should Be No Black History Month," she posted her controversial quotes from her appearance (including those about BET) verbatim.

Dash also told readers she's "not alone" with this mentality and directed them to Morgan Freeman 's 2005 interview with 60 Minutes . In it, the actor referred to Black History month as, "ridiculous," saying, "I don't want a Black History Month. Black history is America history."

When 60 Minutes ' Mike Wallace asked how, then, would we get rid of racism, Freeman responded, "Stop talking about it. I'm going to stop calling you a white man. And I'm going to ask you to stop calling me a black man. I know you as Mike Wallace. You know me as Morgan Freeman. You're not going to say, 'I know this white guy named Mike Wallace.' Hear what I'm saying?'"
