Calderon confirms Mourinho’s Real Madrid return

Just few pieces of contract discussions are the only thing left to seal Jose Mourinho’s return to the Santiago Bernabeu as Real Madrid manager according to former club president Ramon Calderon.

The 52-year-old Portuguese was sacked at Chelsea on Thursday after series of poor results put the Blues just a point above relegation zone despite winning the Barclays Premier League title and Capital One Cup last season.

However, with Rafa Benitez also struggling to keep his job at La Liga giants Madrid, Calderon is convinced Mourinho is not far away from taking over and described his sacking by Roman Abramovich as the ‘best news’ for underfire Los Blancos president Florentino Perez.

“Mou, is closer to Madrid. Just fix some
things and he’ll be here,” tweeted Calderon.

“Undoubtedly, the best news for [Florentino] Perez in the most difficult situation that he has experienced as president. He could not find a better shield.

“I limit myself to give my personal opinion when I talk about the future of Mourinho.”
