Manchester United to splash world-record £135 million on Luis Suarez?

United eye second world-record move

As a third of perhaps world football's most prolific attacking trio, Luis Suarez would be welcomed by any club in world football, but theSun reports that Manchester United will look to make an audacious move for the Uruguayan.

The report says the Red Devils will throw £135 million at Barcelona in a bid to persuade them to cash in on the 29-year-old after three incredible, record-breaking years.

United spent £90m on Paul Pogba last summer as part of a £170m spending spree, but Jose Mourinho's side are currently languishing outside of the top four and eight points off the top.

Since Sir Alex Ferguson's departure, there's been a lack of thought in the club's development, so throwing more money at the problem is not entirely inconceivable.
