Sylvester Stallone Heading to TV for the First Time – With A Godfather Twist

Maybe we shouldn't talk about this (we know what happens to mob informants ), but Sylvester Stallone is slated to star in a Mafia series called
Omerta . The series is an adaptation of the last Mafia novel by Mario Puzo, author of The Godfather.

According to Deadline , Stallone will star as mob boss Raymonde Aprile, who in the novel is America's last great mafioso. It will be Stallone's first TV series, and a bold move after his career-rejuvenating, Oscar-nominated turn in Creed . The series will be executive produced by Stallone and Training Day director Antoine Fuqua, who will also direct the pilot (and is also working on a Training Day pilot for CBS.)

The project is still in early stages, with no showrunner or other lead yet onboard. The pilot will be shopped to networks, with the expectation that the show will be picked up for a full series.

Our two cents? This could be a good fit for HBO and Terence Winter , who recently lost his job on
Vinyl, if he and HBO are still willing to do business together. Sprawling crime stories like this are his specialty, as we know from his previous series The Sopranos and Boardwalk Empire.

It's also a good fit for Stallone, who has been practicing his mumbly Marlon Brando impression for so long he won't need to stuff cotton balls in his cheeks.

Amber Rose's likeness and name have been used to allegedly lure women into prostitution. According to TMZ, police are investigating a company that was soliciting models "for a paid celebrity photoshoot and clothing line." Up-and-coming models who saw the advertisement on Instagram and later contacted the business were reportedly told Amber was a key person in picking the models. Eventually, a purported FaceTime session between the model and Amber would be set up. When the prospective models called in, however, the company would reportedly use an old video from Amber's Ustream that would ultimately result in a bad connection.
