Coach Siasia’s Mother Freed By Abductors – Police

The Bayelsa State Police Command has confirmed the release of Madam Beauty Siasia, the mother of former Super Eagles Coach now head of Nigeria’s Under-23 National Team, Samson Siasia.
Madam Siasia, 72, was abducted in the early hours of Tuesday , November 17 from her Odoni home in Sagbama Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.
Confirming her release on Saturday, the Bayelsa Police spokesman, ASP Asinim Butswat, said the kidnappers freed their victim following a clampdown on their location by men of the Anti-Kidnapping Unit of the police.
ASP Butswat said the septuagenarian was dropped off at about 1.30 a.m on Saturday.
He stressed that the police were cautious and professional in the operation to ensure that the hostage was freed unhurt.
“She is hale and hearty and has been reunited with her family and the police have intensified efforts to arrest the fleeing suspects”, he said
