BEST MUSIC VIDEO A VOTING CATEGORY FOR THE BEST CONCEPTUALIZED, BEST DIRECTED AND MOST EXCITING VIDEO IN THE YEAR UNDER REVIEW.THIS AWARD GOES TO THE VIDEO DIRECTOR. But i don't think she warrants an award this year with the songs she has released.If the Headies awards decides to give her,it will be nothing but a PR exercise. WAJE – COCO BABY ARAMIDE – IWO NIKAN ASA – BED OF STONE SIMI – TIFF YEMI ALADE – DURO TIMI Wow the next rated award is one of the most popular awards in the HEADIES award.The winner always goes home with a brand new car and over the years it has seen acts like Sean Tizzle,Davido ,Wizkid win this award.This year is probably one of the toughest i have ever seen.Kiss Daniel,Korede Bello and Lil Kesh ,those 3 deserve this Headies award for Next rated.But who is gonna take the headies home? HIP HOP WORLD REVELATION A VOTING CATEGORY FOR THE BEST NEW ARTISTE IN THE YEAR UNDER REVIEW. PRAIZ – RICH N FAMOUS YEMI ALADE – KING OF QUEENS SKALES – MAN OF THE YEAR This Lyricist on the roll Headies award will go to Vector or Reminisce,i bet they are all glad Mode 9 is not nominated.For like 7 years or so,Mode 9 made the award his personal possession. LYRICIST ON THE ROLL A NON-VOTING CATEGORY FOR THE RAP ARTISTE WITH THE BEST LYRICAL DEPTH AND PERFORMANCE ON A SINGLE OR ALBUM. ILL BLISS – BANK ALERT (REMIX) FEAT. ICE PRINCE, EVA ALORDIAH & PHYNO VECTOR – KING KONG REMINISCE – BABA HAFUSA G.O.D – T.R The very fact that this award has the word streets in it as one of its requirements for consideration,means it can only go to Olamide for Bobo.The song has been an ever present on Nigerian streets. BEST STREET-HOP ARTISTE A VOTING CATEGORY FOR THE ARTISTE WHOSE SONGS ARE INSPIRED BY THE STREETS. SUCH SONG SHOULD CAPTURE LINGUAL, WHICH MAY ALSO BE ORIGINATED BY THE ARTISTE AND POPULAR ON THE STREET. REMINISCE – SKILLASHI OLAMIDE – BOBO SMALL DOCTOR – MOSQUITO KILLER MASTAKRAFT FEAT. I think every place where Asa was nominated should have been taken by Asa really.Asa has stayed away from the country and its pretty obvious that all the songs were not tailored for Naija ,so why not give those who are home the opportunity to shine ?EYO is the only song Asa has done for the Nigerian market in ages.Di'Ja should have been more represented.She is an immense talent. Album of the eyar headies should go to Wizkid,but i doubt he will get it.My second man for the headies will be Olamide.P Square have been disappointing by their own standards! A.Y.O – WIZKID DOUBLE TROUBLE – P SQUARE Artist of the year is a war between Wizkid and Davido abi who else?So who gets the coveted 2015 Headies for Artist of the year? Tough one,I don't envy the headies jury on this one. ARTISTE OF THE YEAR MOST CRITICALLY AND COMMERCIALLY ADJUDGED ARTISTE IN THE YEAR UNDER REVIEW. OVERALL MOST SUCCESSFUL ARTISTE FOR THE YEAR UNDER REVIEW. OLAMIDE DAVID O WIZKID YEMI ALADE P-SQUARE Song of the year and as tough as it is can only go to one person.Its the song that the whole of Nigeria is singing as well as Africa and probably the caribbean too.It is a song that has guaranteed that the artist who sang it will still be doing shows and performing in 20 years time,based on that one single song! A song has to be released at a certain time of the last 12 months to qualify for the headies nomination.
