Spike Lee is putting the #OscarsSoWhite hashtag into action by announcing his boycott of the Academy Awards on Monday. The acclaimed director, who received an honorary Oscar at the Governor's Awards in November, announced on Instagram that he'd be skipping the ceremony next month due to the Academy nominating no people of color in any of its four major acting categories for the second year in a row. "We cannot support it and [I] mean no disrespect to my friends, host Chris Rock and producer Reggie Hudlin, president [Cheryl Boone] Isaacs and the Academy," Lee wrote. "But, how is it possible for the second consecutive year all 20 contenders under the acting category are white? And let's not even get into the other branches. Singer, actor or superhero? Jamie Foxx added another title to his resume this week after possibly saving a man's life following a bad accident near Los Angeles. Jamie Foxx mocks Steve Harvey's Miss Universe flub at the Golden Globes TMZ reports that around 8:30 p.m. Monday, a car landed in front of Foxx's gated home after it hit a ditch and flipped upside down. Foxx, witnesses said, told officers he heard the accident, ran to the scene and found the driver still buckled in the seat. He called 911 and then, afraid the car would explode, unbuckled the driver and dragged him approximately 30 feet away. The victim was taken to the hospital with major injuries and burns. According to E! News can confirm that Jason "Jace" Alexander pleaded guilty to child pornography charges in a Westchester County court today. The charges against the 51-year-old included promoting a sexual performance by a child and possessing an obscene performance by a child. Alexander, who is best known for directing multiple episodes of Law & Order , was arrested Wednesday on child pornography charges. E! News can confirm that the 42-year-old has been charged with one felony count of promoting a sexual performance by a child, as well as one felony count of possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child. Westchester County District Attorney Janet DiFiore made the announcement via press release, and detailed how an investigator from her office downloaded child pornography traced back to an IP address that originated from Alexander's home.
