Cobb County Police in Georgia are investigating R&B singer, Bobby Valentino for an alleged rape case. The authorities confirmed on Thursday that the Atlanta R&B singer is a suspect in an ongoing rape investigation. Sgt. Wayne Delk , county police spokesman, said the report came in early Monday accusing the singer, whose real name is Bobby Wilson . According to Delk, it is an active case and could not give out more than the confirmation. Wilson has not been arrested and there is no warrant for his arrest, Delk said. A representative for Wilson told TMZ, that they are pursuing legal action “against what appears to be a weak yet calculated attempt to obtain financial gain through ulterior motives in the matter.”

Rihanna on Thursday took to social media  to criticize Snapchat for running an ad that appeared to make fun of  Chris Brown 's 2009 assault of her, saying the social media company let down domestic violence victims and should be ashamed. Earlier this week, the app ran an ad for a mobile game called "Would You Rather!" It showed photos of the two singers and contained the words "Slap Rihanna" and "Punch Chris Brown." Following a backlash online, Snapchat apologized and pulled the ad, saying in a statement on Monday,  "The ad was reviewed and approved in error, as it violates our advertising guidelines. It was earlier reported that Mr. Eazi claimed to have earned $6000 monthly as an Engineer at Schlumberger, before quitting the job to pursue a career as an artiste. The information was later falsified with the revelation that the singer only interned with the company, and never worked as a full-time Engineer with the international company. The singer has now come out to confirm that he only interned with Schlumberger Company. Speaking on the $6,000 job he allegedly turned down for music, in a chat with Sunday Scoop, Mr Eazi said: “I turned down the job; I didn’t say I had started working there. I don’t think there is anything wrong with being an intern. I don’t have anything to gain by lying about such a thing. The truth remains that I was offered a job by Schlumberger, but I decided not to take it, but rather concentrated on my career. And that is a decision I’ve never regretted till date.”

Fans of newly promoted English Premier League club, Newcastle United have started an online petition for the club to retire the jersey number 24 worn by former player, Chiek Tiote who died on Monday during a training session in China. The Ivorian player who is well known for his remarkable time with Newcastle United joined the club from FC Twente in 2010 and spent seven years with them before leaving for China in February to join China League One side Beijing Enterprises.  The petition published on  change.org  calls on fans to back the move: 'In the light of the legends death, The shirt number should be retired in honour of his life. The Mohammed Sanusi led Kano emirate council has sacked its acting secretary, Alhaji Isa Ado Bayero a longstanding associate and confidant of late emir of Kano, Alhaji Ado Bayero. According to a report by Vanguard, 'a source told our correspondent that Ado Bayero has been on the watch list of the emirate Council as a figure believed to have allegedly divulged classified documents'. Speaking further, the source said “Emir Muhammad Sunusi II has no choice to boot him out owing solely to the way and manner classified documents to the emirate became public documents overnight”.
